Tool Tips!
This form enables basic analysis of hand histories collected from various poker web sites. First you need to setup your poker client software to save the hand histories. See the options for the poker web site and for the type of table your are playing. Take note of where these files are being saved.
Use this form to browse and select a saved game history file on your local disk.
These can usually be found within your User, Documents, Hand Histories folder. Next,
enter your player name (handle). Then use the Run button to start the analysis.
The type of history file should be determined automatically. The sites tested include
FullFlush Poker, Full-
The results text box will show a basic summary of hands dealt, flops seen, hands won, hands lost, and such. Note that some sites do not collect complete and accurate information. Thus this tool may not show the same metrics for all poker sites. Also, because some sites change the way the hand histories are saved, this tool remains a work in progress. Once the hand history has been parsed, it should be possible to select from the hands played for a complete review. The default list (nothing checked) will show hands dealt that were VIP, won, lost, or errors. The VIP, Win, Lose, and Error checkboxes will show only those respective hands. The “Show All Hands:” checkbox allows you to list even the hands that were not played (not dealt or sitting out).
VIP stands for “Voluntary In the Pot”. The hand “Ranks” are based on the average pocket card rankings with 0% being highest (AA) and 100% the lowest (72o). So a lower number represents a tighter or higher range. For example a VIP rank of 20% means you only voluntarily played the top 20% of the hands dealt. Hands played from the blinds or antes are not VIP unless there is additional money added to the pot. The default assumes hand rankings based on tables with 10 seats.
For most sites an attempt is made to track the chip stack won or lost for each hand.
If the starting chip stack for the next hand does not match the calculated ending
chip stack for the last hand, an error is reported where possible. There are many
reasons for these errors. One is a connection being lost temporarily, then re-
The “reCalculateWins” checkbox will calculate the session net based on the starting and ending chip stacks instead of the (default) sum of the bets placed and pots won. This may be useful where errors have been reported in multiple hands.
