This script will simulate deals for Texas HoldEm Poker. There can be two to ten
players at the table. The players Bot-
The chips boxes show the current chip stack for each player. If this goes to 0, the player is busted and will not be dealt any more cards. The player’s cards are the pocket cards. The notes box indicates an arbitrary pocket score assigned based on the pocket holdings. The best hand boxes show the evaluated current hand for that player. The token boxes show the dealer (D), small blind (SB), big blind (BB) (position) and the final winner or winners (W).
By default, all players will call all bets (blinds) and no one will raise. The ante determines the blinds. The buy in multiplier determines the player chip stacks at startup or whenever the statistics are cleared. For long simulation runs you may need to increase this substantially to avoid players being busted early.
Player 1 and the winning hands are always shown. Robot hands are not displayed unless show robots is checked.
The deal button steps through the board stations sequentially unless the loop count is one or more. See the project notes page for an explanation of the performance issues during long simulation runs. The small and big blinds are determined from the ante amount. The ante can be changed at the start of any hand. The buy in multiplier is only applied at the start of a new game (at the next reset).
The show button will show all the various statistics for all hands dealt so far. These are shown first by the types of hands encountered, then winner counts by player name. If more stats is checked the types of hands dealt and those that won are also tabulated by player. With full stats and 10 players, this alert box may be larger than your screen.
